      • The RBI appointed Venkat Nageswar Chalasani, former Deputy Managing Director of SBI, as a member of the Advisory Committee of Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited (SIFL) and Srei Equipment Finance Limited (SEFL).
    • RBI norms for IT services outsourcing by banks and financial entities
      • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that banks and other financial institutions outsourcing their information technology (IT) services to third parties must take care that such arrangements do not impact their obligations towards customers.
    • Railways gets $245-mn World Bank loan to cut logistics project's emissions
      • The World Bank approved a $245-million loan for the rail logistics project to help reduce India’s high carbon emissions and low modal freight share in the railways.

    • IGI Delhi becomes India’s first airport to run entirely on solar and hydro energy
      • In a significant step toward achieving the ambitious aim of being a Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport by 2030, Indira Gandhi International Airport this month became the first airport in the nation to function fully on hydro and solar electricity.

      • Least Liveable City: The capital of war-torn Syria retained its place as least liveable city on the planet.
    • Rapid transition to clean energy could create 1.5 crore jobs by 2025: Report
      • The ‘We Mean Business Coalition’ and Cambridge Econometrics published a report, ‘Creating Jobs and Cutting Bills: the economic opportunities of a clean energy transition’.
      • According to it, a swift shift from fossil fuels to clean energy could lead to creation of 1.5 crore new jobs in India by 2025 and increase savings on electricity bills.
    • Rajasthan takes pole position for health insurance coverage: NFHS report
      • The Rajasthan government’s focus on the health sector has taken the state to top position in the country in regard to health insurance coverage.
      • The National Family Health Survey-5 (2019-21) states 88 per cent of the households have at least one member covered by a health scheme or health insurance in Rajasthan. The national figure is 41 per cent.

      • The Indian Air Force is conducting the first Warfare & Aerospace Strategy Program (WASP) culminating with a Capstone Seminar in New Delhi on 24 Jun 2022.
      • This Capstone Seminar aims to showcase the learning objectives of WASP and help the IAF leadership to validate the desired outcomes from the program.
