Some popular indexes released by international organizations are Ease of Doing business, Global competitive index, Human Development Index, etc. Recently India was in the news because it falls down 10 places in the Global competitive index for which the current government is facing a lot of criticism. This ranking shows the country’s progress in various parameters. Policymakers use these indexes/ rankings to make suitable schemes.
