IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Cut-offs 2020

For the Office Assistant exam, State-wise cut-offs were released. Analysing the previous year’s exam cut-offs can help us understand the level of assessment and the marks attainable. Similarly, candidates should also aim toward scoring higher marks than last year’s cut-off marks so that they can be confident about making the cut.

StateCut Off (General)
Uttar Pradesh73
Madhya Pradesh66.75
Gujarat78.25
Telangana71.25
Bihar75.5
Andhra Pradesh76.25
Odisha79.75
Himachal Pradesh71.25
Rajasthan78.75
West Bengal77.75
Chhattisgarh70.5
Jammu & Kashmir73.5
Maharashtra67

From last year’s data, we can see that cut-offs range in the 70s. The highest cut-off marks were for Odisha at 79.75 and the lowest for Madhya Pradesh at 66.75. If candidates are scoring in their 70s on an 80-mark paper, it shows that the paper was relatively easy. However, this does not mean that candidates should become overconfident in their abilities. Rather, it reflects that if candidates work hard and give due time to their preparation, they can also score well and make the cut. The state-wise cut-offs are particularly beneficial as candidates from all over India appear for this exam. While also taking note of the general range of marks, candidates should particularly make note of the cut-off marks for their state.

A good way to gauge this exam’s pattern is by going through the IBPS RRB Clerk’s previous year paper. This will allow you to study the exam pattern carefully while also understanding where you stand in your exam preparation. You should also take a look at the previous year’s IBPS RRB Mains paper to understand the cut-offs and standard of assessment.
