Odisha Foundation Day
Odisha became a separate state on April 1, 1936. Therefore, the anniversary of this occasion is celebrated every year on April 1. It was separated from Bihar and Bengal and became a new state. The capital of Odisha is Bhubaneshwar.

Mahavir Jayanti
The Mahavir Jayanti is an important festival for the followers of Jainism. This day marks the birth anniversary of the 24th and last tirthankara, Vardhamana Mahavira. This year, the day fell on April 14.
Good Friday
