The candidate needs to qualify for ‘prelims’ in order to be eligible to appear in the mains exam. IBPS clerk Prelims exam is of qualifying nature and these marks will not matter in your final selection. It is just a step to move forward in the journey of becoming a clerk.

“Don’t let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning.”

— Robert Kiyosaki

To clear any exam, merely completing the syllabus is not enough. We must have an assessment tool that can help us improve our knowledge and build our confidence. One of the ways we can assess our level of preparation is through attempting mock tests. The test is a very important and effective tool that is designed to help aspirants analyse themselves. You can take the practice test through Online or Offline mediums.

IBPS has recently issued an official notification for the post of clerks to fill 5830 vacancies. Every year lakhs of students apply for this exam but only a handful of them make it to the final merit list. This is mainly due to a lack of practice. Your hard work will go in vain if you don’t practice enough. With increasing competition, it has become necessary to be aware of every aspect of the exam. In order to be ahead of your peers, you must realize the power that an online practice test holds in sailing you through the exam and fetching you a job.

In today’s article, we will discuss the advantages of the online test series and why you should subscribe to the idea of attempting IBPS Clerk online mock tests.

IBPS Clerk prelims exam is scheduled on August 28, 29 and September 04, 2021. However, it has been put on hold by the Ministry of finance. In order to discuss the demand coming from students of the south (to include other recognized regional languages as well), a committee has been constituted to look into the matter in its entirety. Right now, the exam is bilingual i.e. you can attempt the exam in either Hindi or English. There are 22 recognized languages in India. The committee will come with the result in 15 days.

Take this as an opportunity to work even harder and start practising mock tests as much as you can.

IBPS RRB Clerk 2020 Prelims Exam Analysis

Studying and analyzing the previous year’s question paper is an important part of preparing for any exam. By analyzing the previous year’s exam, aspirants can perceive the sectional and overall assessment standard of the exam. We will also look at the thematic distribution of questions, important topics from every section, last year’s cutoff marks and such in this article.

Reasoning

From Reasoning, a total of 40 questions were asked for a maximum of 50 marks. Take a look at the table below to understand how many questions were asked from each topic. The maximum number of questions were asked from Seating Arrangement Puzzles. This helps us understand how many questions may be expected from each topic for the upcoming exam. IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Cut-offs 2020

For the Office Assistant exam, State-wise cut-offs were released. Analysing the previous year’s exam cut-offs can help us understand the level of assessment and the marks attainable. Similarly, candidates should also aim toward scoring higher marks than last year’s cut-off marks so that they can be confident about making the cut.

StateCut Off (General)
Uttar Pradesh73
Madhya Pradesh66.75
Gujarat78.25
Telangana71.25
Bihar75.5
Andhra Pradesh76.25
Odisha79.75
Himachal Pradesh71.25
Rajasthan78.75
West Bengal77.75
Chhattisgarh70.5
Jammu & Kashmir73.5
Maharashtra67

From last year’s data, we can see that cut-offs range in the 70s. The highest cut-off marks were for Odisha at 79.75 and the lowest for Madhya Pradesh at 66.75. If candidates are scoring in their 70s on an 80-mark paper, it shows that the paper was relatively easy. However, this does not mean that candidates should become overconfident in their abilities. Rather, it reflects that if candidates work hard and give due time to their preparation, they can also score well and make the cut. The state-wise cut-offs are particularly beneficial as candidates from all over India appear for this exam. While also taking note of the general range of marks, candidates should particularly make note of the cut-off marks for their state.

A good way to gauge this exam’s pattern is by going through the IBPS RRB Clerk’s previous year paper.
