The members standing in the outer circle are P, Q, R and A, and all of them are facing towards the centre while the members of the inner circle are S, B, C and D and they are facing away from the centre. Each of them likes a different singer, viz. E, K, G, L, Y, Z, F and M, but not in the same order.

D likes neither K nor Y and faces R, who likes neither Z nor M. The boy who likes F faces the boy who likes E. S, who likes L, faces the immediate neighbour of the boy who likes G. R stands second to the left of A. The boys who like Y and E are in separate circles. The boy who likes Z stands on the immediate left of A. Q, who does not like G, does not face S. Explanations:

Sol 1: d

Sol 2: a

Sol 3: b

Sol 4: d

Sol 5: c

Sol 6: c

Sol 7: c

Sol 8: c

Sol 9: c

Sol 10: b

A is facing the center. Two persons are sitting between A and the one who is 54 years old. D is 2nd to the left of the one who is 54 years old.  E is 3 years older than A. For this E’s age will be 76 and A’s age will be 73,as we require 3 years age difference between both and it is possible only in this slot.   Three persons are sitting between D and the one who is 2 years older than D. D’s age is 43 and other one is 45 years. The one who is 45 years is sitting exact opposite of D.

The one who is 76 years old is sitting 2nd to the left of D. A is older than D. It means E is sitting 2nd to left of D. F is 2nd to the left of E and he is 45 years of age. H is to the immediate left of F

Not more than one person is sitting between A and H. This is not possible in case 1, as there are 3 persons sitting between both. So, let’s see case 2,

The one who is 39 years old is sitting 2nd to the right of H. H is younger than D. G is 3rd to the left of C. G is not an immediate neighbour of H. G will sit on the immediate right of E. C sits in exact middle of H and the one who is 39 years old and is 54 years of age. B’s age is 39 years. H is 35 years old. G is 78 years old. Thus the final arrangement of 8 persons sitting on a square table is as follows:

Ans 6-10

We are provided with the information,

R stands second to the left of A. The boy who likes Z stands on the immediate left of A. The boys who like Z and M are immediate neighbours, and one of them faces B, who likes K. D likes neither K nor Y and faces R, who likes neither Z nor M. R does not like M, so A likes M. S, who likes L, faces the immediate neighbour of the boy who likes G. G must be liked by the boy sitting on immediate right of A. So, A must face S, as R cannot face S already D is facing R. Z faces B who likes K.

Now given, Q, who does not like G, does not face S. So only one position left for Q is the person who likes singer Z, immediate left of A. The boy who likes F faces the boy who likes E. The boys who like F and L stand in the same circle but they are not immediate neighbours of each other.  Only one place left for F and E, D likes F as given the boys liking singers F and L are sitting in same circle, R likes E. The boys who like Y and E are in separate circles. So, C left only for inner circle and he likes singer Y. P likes G, in the outer circle. Thus the final arrangement is as follows;
