SBI PO 2021: The Right Approach

SBI has released around 2000 vacancies for the post of PO last year and we are expecting similar vacancies for this year as well. The first thing that you should know if you are fearing the changes that have been occurring in the SBI PO exam pattern, that there has not been any major change in the pattern except two small points:

• Since 2018, sectional timings in both Prelims as well as Mains have been introduced.
• There will not be any sectional cut-off in the Prelims and Mains.

There are no other changes in the exam pattern of SBI PO Exam, therefore you should not panic and just focus on your preparation. While preparing you should also be aware of the fact that the ratio of candidates selected for the Main examination will be approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category and therefore you can get an idea through this that almost 20,000 candidates will be selected for the Main examination.

There has not been any change in the syllabus or level of the questions and therefore you should not pay any attention to the rumours spreading about the drastic changes in the pattern. As there haven’t been any such big change that should affect your preparation. The sectional timings have been introduced since 2017.

• You should not worry about the sectional timings but just focus on how to maximize your attempts in subjects like English and also the easier questions in Quant and Reasoning section in the Preliminary (Prelims) exam.
• Accuracy is the key as that is what will land you in the final list of selected candidates. As the negative marking in the exam will lead you to attaining lesser scores if you blindly tick the options and just think of increasing the number of attempts. That won’t help.

The only thing that you need to fare well in any exam is the right optimistic approach mixed up with just the right amount of practice which will lead you to the path of success.
