    Online Exam

    Delhi Police Constable exam is a computer-based objective type exam. The Delhi Police Constable exam pattern involves four sections namely General Knowledge/ Current Affairs, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Computer Fundamentals. The overall time limit is 90 minutes.     Physical Endurance and Measurement Test

    If you qualify the Delhi Police Constable exam you will be called for Physical Endurance and Measurement Test. The Physical Endurance and Measurement standard are different for male and female categories. Further details regarding the same is given below.

    Physical Endurance for Male candidates

    The PE for male candidates consists of long and high Jump and race. These standards are applicable to ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates also. More details regarding the same is given below.

    Physical Measurement for Male candidates

    Physical Measurement Test will be taken only if you qualify the Physical Endurance Test. The Standard of Physical Measurement is given below.

    Note: Please note that those female candidates who are pregnant at the time of PE&MT will not be allowed to participate in the Physical Endurance Test.

    Physical Measurement for Female candidates

    You will be eligible for the Physical Measurement test only if you qualify the Physical Endurance Tests. There are certain standard of Physical Measurement as given below.

    Minimum 157cm 2cm for residents of Hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh. (Candidates claiming this relaxation would have to produce a certificate to this effect from the competent authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test).
    2 cm for SC/ ST candidates.
    5 cm in case of daughters of serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/ Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

    Height Measurement and Relaxation

    81 cm with minimum of 4 cm expansion(i.e. 81 -85 cm) 5 cm for residents of Hill areas.
    5 cm for ST candidates.
    5 cm in case of sons of serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/ Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

    Medical standard

    All the qualified candidates have to undergo a medical examination which will be examined by doctors in selected Government hospitals in Delhi. For complete details on this please refer to the table below.

    • The candidates should be in sound state of health, free from defect/ deformity/ disease, vision 6/12 without glasses both eyes, free from colour blindness and without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. Free from defect, deformity or disease likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. No relaxation is allowed/ permissible to any category of candidates on this count.
    • The selected candidates shall be medically examined by doctors in selected Government hospitals in Delhi as per the prescribed standards.
    • Tattoos on various parts of body are permissible as per the details given below:
      • Content - Tattoos depicting religious symbol or figure and the name, as followed in Indian Army, shall be permitted.
      • Location – Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm, but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands shall be allowed.
      • Size – Size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

    Marking Scheme

    You are advised to keep negative marking in mind while attempting any question in the Delhi Police Constable exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted as a penalty for each wrong answer. Further details on the marking scheme is given below.
