DRDO Senior Technical Assistant Exam Pattern 2024

DRDO Senior Technical Assistant Tier-1 and Tier-2 Exam Pattern
The DRDO Senior Technical Assistant Tier-1 exam is the first step of the DRDO (STA-B) recruitment 2024 process. Moreover, the DRDO Senior Technical Assistant Tier-1 exam is only for the purposes of screening.
On the other hand, the DRDO (STA-B) Tier-2 exam is the second and final step in the DRDO Senior Technical Assistant selection process. Furthermore, final selection will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Tier-2 exam.
Both the Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam will be an online exam consisting of objective type multiple choice questions only. Also, there will be no Interview for the post of Senior Technical Assistant at DRDO.

Screening Criteria
As mentioned above, the Tier-1 exam is for screening. The minimum qualifying marks for various categories in the Tier-1 exam is-
- 40% for UR/OBC candidates
- 35% for SC/ST candidates
Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on Tier-1 examination merit in a ratio of 1:8 (No. of vacancy: No. of shortlisted candidates) provided they secure the minimum qualifying marks in examination. However, this ratio may increase or decrease depending upon the organisational requirements. The last candidate securing equal marks in the bracket will also be included. These provisionally shortlisted candidates will be called for Tier-2 examination.
Provisional Selection Criteria
The provisional selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the order of merit obtained in Tier-2 examination depending upon the post/category/sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for various categories in the Tier-2 is-
- 40% for UR/OBC candidates
- 35% for SC/ST candidates.
Resolution of Tie Cases
In cases where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregate marks in Tier-2 examination, tie cases will be resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, as applicable till the tie is resolved.
- Marks obtained in Tier-I examination
- Date of birth, older candidates will be placed higher in the merit list
- Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.
Marking Scheme
The DRDO (STA-B) 2024 notification also mentions the marking scheme that will be followed. You will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. Also, the DRDO Senior Technical Assistant exam does ot carry any negative marking. You can refer to the DRDO (STA-B) marking scheme given below-

Exam Language
The DRDO Senior Technical Assistant 2024 Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam will give you an option to choose your medium of attempting the exam in the English and Hindi language. However, except the English Language section, you can attempt all other sections as per your preferred language.
