How to Apply Online
The application process of the ECGC PO Legal exam is generally done through online mode only. Please note that this year no vacancy for Legal stream has been announced.However to understand the process you may look below to the detailed step-by-step instructions for filling the ECGC PO Legal application form whenever it is announced
- Visit the official website www.ecgc.in and click on “Career with ECGC”.
- Click on the “New Registration” link and fill in all the details asked like name, date of birth, email id and other details.
- A provisional registration id and password will be sent on your registered email id and phone number.
- Login again with the registration number and password and fill in other details as asked.
- Scan and upload the documents like photograph, signature, thumb impression and declaration along with the dimensions as mentioned below:
- A coloured passport size photograph ranging between 20 KB to 50 KB with dimensions 200 x 230 pixels.
- A scanned signature on white paper with black ink ranging between 10 KB and 20 KB with dimensions 140 x 60 pixels. The signature should not be in capital letters.
- The left thumb impression should be on white paper in black or blue ink. The dimension should lie between 240 x 240 pixels and of size 20 KB – 50 KB.
- The declaration, “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” should be in English only on white paper in black ink. The file dimension should be of 800 x 400 pixels and with size of 50 KB – 100 KB.
- All the documents uploaded should be in .jpg / .jpeg format.
- Preview your application before final submission.
- Proceed to pay the application fee through online mode.
- Take a printout of the receipt and application form for future reference.
Application Fee
Once you have submitted your ECGC PO Legal application, whenever it is announced in future, it is time to pay the requisite application fee to complete the process. Please note that your application form will be incomplete if you do not pay the ECGC PO Legal application fee. Furthermore, the application fee will be accepted through the online mode only. Exam Pattern

Online Written Examination
The ECGC PO Legal Online Written Exam consists of an Objective Test as well as a Descriptive English Test. Furthermore, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.

Interview
Candidates who qualify the ECGC PO Legal Online Written Exam are called for the next stage, i.e the Interview. The ECGC PO Legal interview carries a total of 60 marks. Furthermore, the weightage of Online Examination and Interview is 80:20. The minimum qualifying marks will be 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD categories and 45% for others.
Final selection is made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Online Written Exam and Interview.
Admit Card
The ECGC PO Legal Admit Card 2024 will be released a few days before the Online Written Examination. You will have to download your ECGC PO Legal Call Letter 2024 from the official website of ECGC. The admit card will carry all the important information regarding the exam date, exam venue and exam time. Please note that no hard copy of the ECGC PO Legal Admit Card will be sent via post. Eligibility Criteria
ECGC has set a specific eligibility criteria, which the candidates are required to fulfill.
