Advisory Due To COVID-19 Pandemic:

As the number of COVID cases is increasing, so the candidates are advised to carry the following documents and essentials with them to the exam venue.

  • Admit card along with Self Declaration that can be downloaded from the NTA Website and should be fully filled and printed on the A4 size paper
  • A transparent ball pen
  • Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet
  • Personal hand sanitizer of 50 ml and a transparent water bottle

EMRS Exam Notification 2024

EMRS recruitment 2024 is out to fill up teaching staff in its various branches in association with Central and State Governments. The EMRS recruitment of the teaching staff includes posts like Principal, Vice Principal, PGT and TGT. These posts are state specific and you should have a domicile certificate of the State from where you are applying. The National Testing Agency or NTA is the conducting authority for EMRS teaching staff selection. The EMRS notification has all details of education, age, exam pattern, syllabus and others. EMRS Exam Dates 2024

EMRS teaching staff is a good opportunity if you are looking for making a career in teaching. Since the official EMRS notification is out and the online window to fill the application form starts from April 1, 2024 and ends on April 30, 2024 which has been extended till May 31,2024, so it is advised that you fill the application prior to the last date to avoid any last minute rush. EMRS Exam Pattern 2024

The EMRS teaching staff selection exam will be a computer based online test. The exam patterns for the post of Principal, Vice Principal is the same and for TGT and PGT are the same. The only difference lies in the number of questions per section and the overall time and marks. The subjects involved in the EMRS Principal and Vice Principal exam pattern are General Hindi, General English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Computer Literacy, Quantitative Aptitude, Academic, and Administration & Finance. While for TGT and PGT the sections are - General English, General Hindi, Numerical Ability, Computer Literacy, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Subject Knowledge, and Teaching Aptitude / Pedagogy. EMRS Exam Educational Criteria

If you are applying for the EMRS recruitment 2024 for any post - Principal, Vice Principal, PGT, TGT you should go through all the information thoroughly to ensure that you possess the essential and desirable qualifications as well as the professional qualification to appear for the online exam along with the necessary experience if applicable. You need to possess a Master or Graduate Degree in a relevant field with a specified percentage as mentioned. In case you are applying for the post of TGTs, you should have a valid STET/CTET-Paper -II certificate. Detailed information for EMRS educational criteria is provided below.

  • Master's degree from a recognized university / institute, and
  • B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University, and
  • Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium, and
  • Persons working in any of the Govt. / Semi-Govt./Govt. recognized / CBSE affiliated Sr. Secondary (10+2) schools / Inter College.
    • Holding analogous post, or
    • Ten years of experience of teaching (Vice principal / PGT / TGT) in a recognized high school/ Higher secondary school / Senior Secondary School/Intermediate college.
Vice Principal
  • Master's Degree from a recognized university / institution, and
  • B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University ,and
  • Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium, and
  • 2 years’ experience of working on the post of PGT or lecturer at level 8 (Rs.47600-151100) in Central/ State Govt./Autonomous organization of central / State Govt.
Desirable :
  • Three years’ experience in fully residential school.
PGT
  • Two Years Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subject:
    • PGT (English)- English literature
    • PGT (Hindi) – Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level.
    • PGT (Mathematics)-Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
    • PGT (Physics)–Physics / Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics.
    • PGT (Chemistry) Chemistry/ Bio. Chemistry.
    • PGT (Biology) - Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/Bio Technology/ Molecular Bio/Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
    • PGT (History) – History
    • PGT Geography-Geography
    • PGT (Commerce) – Master’s Degree in Commerce. However, holder of Degrees of M. Com in Applied/Business Economics shall not be eligible.
    • PGT (Economics) – Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics.
    • PGT Information Technology- B. Tech (computer science / IT) / Master’s Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/Information Technology/M. Tech (Computer application/Computer Science/Information Technology)
  • B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized University (Not applicable on PGT IT), and
  • Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
TGT
  • Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree with atleast 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate.
    • For TGT (Hindi): Hindi as a subject in all the three years.
    • For TGT (English) : English as a subject in all the three years.
    • For TGT (S.St) : Any two of the following main subject at graduation level: History, Geography, Economics and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
    • For TGT (Maths) –Mathematics as main subject at graduation level with one of the following as second subject: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, economics, commerce and Statistics.
    • For TGT (Science)- Bachelor Degree in Science with any two of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
  • B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
  • Pass in the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose, and
  • Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.

EMRS Exam Age Criteria

Besides fulfilling the EMRS teaching staff selection exam educational criteria, you must also lie within an age limit to be applicable in all aspects. The maximum age is 50 years and the minimum is 35 years, depending upon the post you are applying for. The age limit is defined as on April 30, 2024.

EMRS Exam Age Relaxation

In the EMRS recruitment notification, there is a provision of age relaxation for some categories of candidates. The relaxation will be applied to the upper age limit. This relaxation will be applicable only to those candidates who belong to the mentioned categories as specified below.

  • resultant age after deducting his age does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years and
  • condition prescribed in O.M. No. 39016/10/79- Esst.(C) dated 15.12.1979.

NOTE: You should not exceed more than 55 Years as on April 30, 2024 after considering all the relaxations in age. The age relaxation for ex-servicemen and economically weaker sections (EWS) will be as per the Govt. of India Rules.

EMRS Exam 2024: How To Apply Online

Ensure that you are eligible on all fronts to apply for EMRS recruitment 2024.You can apply through Online mode only. The Application will not be accepted in any other mode. Given below are some simple steps to follow.

  • Apply for online registration using your email id and mobile no
  • Fill in the online form and note down your application number
  • Fill in all the details asked carefully and upload all the documents as prescribed in the EMRS notification 2024
  • A recent photograph in colour or black and white with white background in jpg/jpeg format and size in between 10KB to 200 KB
  • Your signature with a size ranging between 4KB to 30KB in jpg/jpeg format
  • Domicile certificate of file size ranging between 50KB to 300KB
  • Category certificate with a file size of 50KB to 300KB
  • PwD certificate ranging between 50KB to 300KB
  • Pay fee using SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card / Net Banking/UPI

EMRS Exam Admit Card 2024

The e-Admit Card for the EMRS teaching staff selection exam will be available on the NTA website. The EMRS exam admit card will have all the information like exam date, shift/timing, exam centre. You will not be allowed to appear at the EMRS exam centre, on the date and shift other than that allotted to you. In case you are unable to download your EMRS exam admit card you can contact NTA help number : 011-40759000 between 09: 30 am to 06:00 pm on working days. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent by post to any individual. You need to bring a print of your EMRS exam admit card to the exam venue.
