    ESIC  Eligibility Criteria

    The Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) invited applications from eligible aspirants for the posts of Stenographer, UDC & MTS in its notification will be released soon.

    To ensure that you successfully apply for your desired post, it is extremely important that you stay updated and well aware of all the important details with respect to the ESIC eligibility criteria 2024.  

    Note: The candidates should have passed and attained the educational qualification on or before the closing date of the application process, i.e. February 01, 2024. If not, they will be considered ineligible to apply.

    ESIC Educational Criteria

    ESIC released its recruitment for three different posts of Upper Division Clerk, Multitasking Staff, and Stenographer, and thus, the educational qualifications differ for all. To be eligible to fill out the ESIC UDC application form you need to possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Besides this, working knowledge of computers including the use of Office Suites and Databases will be an added advantage to you. It is crucial to check the ESIC eligibility before applying for the exam.

    ESIC UDC Educational Qualification

    ESIC Age Criteria

    Before you apply for the ESIC UDC, MTS, and Steno notification, you should be aware of the complete eligibility requirements & conditions. Apart from the educational qualifications, a candidate willing to apply for ESIC recruitment also needs to follow specific age criteria. The ESIC UDC age limit is that you should not be younger than 18 years and older than 27 years as on the date mentioned in the official notification. To apply for the post of ESIC MTS post, you should not be above 25 years. You can also refer to the table given below for further ESIC age limit details -

    ESIC Age Relaxation

    ESIC provides a relaxation in the upper age limit to certain reserved categories. Categories like SC/ST/OBC are eligible for this relaxation. The relaxation years vary among all the reserved categories. Besides this, employees of the ESIC and Government servants who have rendered not less than 3 years of service are also eligible for age relaxation as per government norms. The table given below provides further details on ESIC age relaxation-

    As per instructions of DoPT, a PWD applicant is entitled to age concession in different combinations subject to the condition of maximum age of 56 years. Further in case of a PWD by virtue of being a ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a 'person with disability' or as a ESIC/Govt. Employee' whichever may be more beneficial to him/her.

    • OBC- 6 years
    • SC/ST- 8 years
    ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who have
    rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous
    service as on closing date for receipt of application
    • UR- upto 40 years
    • OBC- upto 43 years
    • SC/ST- upto 45 years
    Applicant should continue to have the status of ESIC/ Govt. servant till the time of appointment, in the event of his/her selection.
