ESIC SSO Exam Pattern 2024
ESIC conducts recruitment for the post of SSO which is a prestigious job to start one's career. The entire recruitment process of the ESIC SSO exam involves online examinations of objective and descriptive types. A candidate should pass all three stages of the ESIC SSO exam to get selected. The qualifying marks in ESIC SSO Prelims and ESIC SSO Mains exam will be 45% for UR Category, 40% for OBC Category & EWS category, 35% for SC, ST & Ex-Servicemen and 30% for PWD Category. The online exam of ESIC SSO takes place in three stages as mentioned below:
- Phase 1- ESIC SSO Prelims Exam- (Qualifying in nature)
- Phase 2- ESIC SSO Mains Exam (Objective)
- Phase 3- Computer Skills Test and Descriptive test
ESIC SSO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
The ESIC SSO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024 consists of three sections namely English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The total time limit is one hour with each section having an individual time limit. The ESIC SSO online exam will be conducted in bilingual language except for the English Language section which will be in English only. ESIC SSO Mains Exam Pattern 2024
For the ESIC SSO Mains exam, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category. ESIC SSO Mains Exam Pattern 2024 consists of four sections which include -Reasoning/Intelligence, Insurance/General/Financial Awareness, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. ESIC SSO Computer and Descriptive test 2024
For ESIC SSO Phase 3 exam, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category based on their performance in the ESIC SSO Mains Exam Pattern. In ESIC SSO Phase 3 exam, Computer and descriptive English will be asked. The computer skills test comprises three sections with a total time duration of 30 minutes. In the descriptive test , a total of 02 questions will be asked. This section is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Phase 3 - Computer Skill Test and Descriptive Paper will be decided at the discretion of ESIC.

ESIC SSO Marking Scheme
ESIC SSO exam 2024 will have the objective type of questions in both phases. For each wrong answer, a penalty of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question will be charged. The ESIC SSO Marking scheme is the same for both prelims and mains exams. The marking scheme for ESIC SSO 2024 and the penalty for wrong answers is as follows.

ESIC SSO Exam Language
Both the objective and descriptive tests of the ESIC SSO exam 2024 will be conducted online. Please note that all questions in ESIC SSO exams (Prelims and Mains), except the Test of English Language in Prelims and Mains & Descriptive Test of English in Phase 3, will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi.
