Please Note:
- To ensure a qualitative selection and recruit the most competent individuals, Tier-1 exam will have cut-off marks (out of 100) as follows- UR- 35 marks, OBC- 34 marks, SC/ST- 33 marks, EWS- 35 marks.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill test and Personal Interview based on their performance and normalized marks in the Tier-1 exam. The shortlisting will be done at a ratio of 5 times the number of vacancies, provided the candidates achieve the minimum cut-off score.
- The cut-off for the Tier-1 exam may vary in different categories depending on the marks obtained by candidates and the number of vacancies. The shortlisting ratio of 5 times the number of vacancies may be adjusted accordingly based on the cut-off score in the Tier-1 exam.

IB JIO Tier-2 (Skill Test) Exam Pattern
After clearing the IB JIO Tier-1 exam, the candidates will be called for the IB JIO-Tier 2 exam. The IB JIO Tier-2 exam consists of a Skill Test, which would be practical and technical in nature and in line with the job profile. The Skill Test will carry a total of 30 marks. IB JIO Tier-3 (Interview)
After successfully qualifying IB JIO Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the third and final round of the IB JIO selection process, which is the IB JIO Interview/Personality Test. The Interview/Personality Test will carry a total of 20 marks.
The final merit list for the post of JIO-2/Tech will be prepared based on the combined performance of candidates in the Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 exams. However, it is important to note that the final selection for the posts is contingent upon the successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification, as well as a medical examination and other necessary procedures.

Resolution of Tie Cases
If there is a tie in the combined scores of candidates in the Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 exams during the final selection process, the following criteria will be applied in a sequential manner to resolve the tie until a resolution is reached-
- Marks in Tier-1
- Marks in Tier-2
- Marks in Tier-3
- Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher
- Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name)
Marking Scheme
The IB JIO-2/Tech notification 2024 has also mentioned the marking scheme for the IB JIO exam 2024. For every wrong answer there will be a negative marking of 1/4th marks. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions. Furthermore, questions marked as “Mark for Review” will also not be taken into account for evaluation.
