Educational Criteria

To get admission to Master’s degree programmes through the ICAR AIEEA PG exam 2024 entrance test, you must be a graduate from a University / College / Institute accredited by ICAR. You must have passed graduation with four/six (10+6 B.Sc. Ag.)/ five years’ (B.V.Sc. & AH)/ 5½ years (B.V.Sc. & AH) degree programme. Besides this, you must have secured at least 60% marks in your Graduation if you are a General/ OBC / UPS and EWS categories. If you belong to SC/ST/PwD categories then 50% marks are essential in Graduation. If you have a grade system, refer to the table below for the Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) requirement.

Note: Ensure that you have your graduate at the time of ICAR AIEEA PG counselling/admission. If you have Bachelor’s degree with 3 years duration you will not be eligible for admission through ICAR AIEEA (PG) in AUs under the ICAR-AU system except for a few courses at two ICAR-DUs- IARI and NDRI.

Age Limit Criteria (As on August 31, 2023)

To be eligible to apply for the ICAR AIEEA exam 2024 you must lie within the ICAR AIEEA PG exam age limit. You must not be younger than 19 years old as on date mentioned in the official notification. No relaxation is admissible regarding the ICAR AIEEA PG exam minimum age limit.

Relaxation Criteria

If you belong to any reserved category ie SC/ST/OBC-(NCL)/EWS/PwBD you are eligible for various relaxations as per GOI norms and ICAR policy. You will be eligible for seat reservations depending upon the subcategory you belong to under the reserved category. Also, PwBD will be eligible for scribe facility and compensatory time in the ICAR AIEEA PG exam 2024. ICAR AIEEA PG Scholarship and National Talent Scholarship

ICAR-PG scholarship will be awarded to meritorious candidates seeking admission to various Agricultural Universities, where the Master degree programmes include course work and research work. If you are already pursuing a Master's degree programme then also you can apply for ICAR- PG Scholarship given you have not completed one year of your Master's degree programme on the date of the ICAR AIEEA PG exam. The ICAR PG scholarship will be for a period of two years from the Master's degree programe registration date.

The scholarship amount will be Rs. 12,640/- per month together with a contingent grant of Rs. 6,000/- per year for buying essential chemicals, books, travel expenses etc connected with the research work. The scholarship will be awarded only after the completion of ICAR AIEEA PG counselling.

If you are availing ICAR-PG scholarship you need to execute a surety bond of a certain amount as per University rules and regulations at the time of registration in the University. If you leave the University before completion of the programme, you need to refund the scholarship amount drawn by you to the Council.

Note: To get ICAR- PG Scholarship, you must pursue your Master’s degree from a state different from the one from where you have pursued your Bachelor’s degree. This condition, however, does not apply for admission to NDRI, Karnal.
