ICAR JRF (Agronomy) Highlights 2024
Indian Agricultural Research Institute or ICAR is the Apex Body for conducting research and education in Agriculture. ICAR works under the aegis of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Currently, ICAR comprises of 74 Agricultural Universities.
It is important to note that in the academic year 2022-23, the ICAR recommended 2520 candidates for admission to Master Degree Programmes in 66 accredited Agricultural Universities (AUs) within the ICAR-AU system. This recommendation was made out of the total availabe seats of 3098.
Every year it comes out with an ICAR AIEEA exam recruitment to fill 30% of seats in Master's degree pan India. ICAR also awards scholarships to meritorious candidates based on their merit, rank in the ICAR AIEEA exam and seat availability in different Agriculture and its allied disciplines. Note: NTA is only the exam conducting body and its jurisdiction is limited to conducting the ICAR AIEEA PG exam and declaration of the result.
ICAR JRF (Agronomy) Notification 2024
National Testing Agency (NTA), established by Ministry of Education, Government of India from 2019 onwards conducting All India Competitive Examinations for admission to Bachelor (UG), Masters (PG) & Doctoral (PhD.) Courses in Agricultural Universities (AUs) and award of scholarships & fellowships. The ICAR JRF Agronomy notification 2024 was released recently on the official website of NTA. Make sure to check out the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. The ICAR JRF Agronomy application process commenced on May 22 and will close on June 16, 2023. Furthermore, it is important to note that application corrections can be made online between June 18 to June 20, 2023. The application fee varies for various categories. In case you cant fill the application form by yourself, you can take help of Common Service Centres.
Please Note: There will be no direct admission through ICAR in any Master's degree programe without qualifying in ICAR AIEEA (PG) exam 2024.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under Society Registration Act, 1860, which has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the ICAR JRF 2024 exam soon.
