NPS Trust Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Exam Pattern 2025
To clear any competitive exam, the exam pattern and exam syllabus become a matter of concern for many aspirants. To ease your doubt we have listed the detailed exam pattern for NPS Trust Grade A Officer. The NPS Trust Grade A selection procedure will take place over 3 stages-
- Phase 1 - Online Exam
- Phase 2 - Online Exam
- Phase 3 - Interview
NPS Trust Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager)
The NPS Trust Officer Grade A Phase 1 will be an online objective exam. The NPS Trust Officer exam 2025 for Grade A (Assistant Manager) consists of four sections
- Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude
- General Awareness + Financial Sector Awareness
- English Language
Each section has a different sectional time limit and also the number of questions varies. The total exam time is 90 minutes and is for 120 marks for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. You need to qualify each section besides qualifying the overall merit as decided by the National Pension System Trust. Further details can be obtained from the table below.

Phase 2 (Online Written Test)
The NPS Trust Grade A Phase 2 exam will also comprise 2 papers. The details of the Phase 2 exam for NPST Grade A 2025 have been provided for you below.

Phase 3 - Interview
If you clear NPS Trust Officer Grade A Phase 1, you will be called for Phase 2. Once you clear Phase 2, you will be called for the Phase 3 which is the interview stage. The Group Discussion and Interview for NPST Officer Grade A can be given either in Hindi or English. You need to bring all the documents that will be mentioned in your call letter for Phase 2.
Final Merit List
The final merit for NPST Officer Grade A will be prepared by combining the marks obtained in Phase 2 and Phase 3. Phase 2 will have 50% weightage and Phase 3 (Interview) will have 50% weightage. Important Note
- Candidates who are already in service of Govt./ Quasi-Govt. Organizations and Public Sector Banks/ Undertakings etc. will have to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer, at the time of Group Discussion and Interview (for Grade A). Before the appointment in NPS Trust, a proper discharge certificate from the employer will have to be produced.
- Outstation candidates called for Group Discussion and Interview will be reimbursed a single AC Three Tier return railway fare for the journey by the shortest route from their place of ordinary residence to the place of interview, subject to submission of necessary documentary evidence.
NPS Trust Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Marking Scheme
Every exam has a penalty for wrong answers. The NPS Trust Grade A exam has a negative marking too. 1/4th of the mark assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty for every wrong answer you attempt. Unattempted questions will draw no negative marks.

NPS Trust Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Exam Language
The NPST Grade A exam Phase 1 will be conducted in a single shift. The NPST Grade A 2025 exam will be bilingual i.e. Hindi & English except for the English Language (objective) and Descriptive English test.
