The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti released the information about the NVS PGT Exam City Details on their website on November 19, 2024. You can log in with your Registration No. and enter the shown CAPTCHA to check the city details. The NVS PGT exam 2024 will be held between November 28 and December 1, 2024.

NVS PGT Exam Pattern

NVS Recruitment 2024 is one of the most popular examinations which gives an excellent opportunity to all the job aspirants who are trying hard to work in the Government organization. There will be objective type questions from 5 subjects: Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Teaching Aptitude, Subject Knowledge & Language Competency Test. 

• The Language Competency Test will be qualifying in nature.
• The test in Subject Knowledge will contain difficulty level of Post Graduation.
• Total time available will be 3 hours.
• The first four sections of a candidate will not be evaluated if he/she fails to qualify in the Language Competency Test.
• The test on Subject Knowledge will be subject-specific which will vary according to the post.
• Total questions and total marks will be 150.  

Candidates who get selected in the written examination will be called for Interview.

NVS PGT Salary

All the candidates who will get selected after the final stage of Personal Interview, will be appointed as PGT or Post Graduate Teachers in the respective subject in one of the NVS branches. These PGTs will be eligible to receive salary under Level 8 in the Pay Matrix. This implies that an NVS PGT will receive a salary in the range of : Rs 47600 - 151100.

NVS Exam Educational Criteria

NVS Exam Age Criteria

• For all candidates applying for PGT posts (all subjects), the maximum age limit decided by NVS is 40 years. Any candidate exceeding the age of 40 will not be allowed to appear in the exam. 

NVS PGT Age Relaxation

In the NVS 2024 Recruitment Notification, there is another provision of age relaxation for some category of candidates. The relaxation will be applied to the upper age limit of the candidates.
