Railways recruitment ALP 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Indian Railways has issued the RRB ALP exam 2024 notification through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announcing 5696 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilots positions. Those interested in applying for the RRB ALP Exam 2024 can submit their applications online through the official website. Before applying for the Railways recruitment ALP 2024 examination, a candidate should be aware of the fact that if he/she fails to fulfil any of the eligibility criteria, his/her application will be cancelled. When completing the application form, it is essential to consider fundamental eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age requirements, medical standards, and other relevant factors.
RRB ALP Educational Criteria 2024
There are different educational criteria for different posts under Railways recruitment/Technician posts, the most common educational criteria is that a candidate should be an SSLC/ Matriculation plus ITI from a recognized university or plus 3 year Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering, etc. For complete details on RRB ALP 2024 educational criteria candidates can refer to the following table.

RRB ALP Age Criteria 2024 (as on 1.07.2024)
The most common thing which makes candidates worried about is whether they are eligible by age for the post or not. Railway recruitment board is inviting applications from young candidates within the age group of minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 30 years for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot. RRB ALP Age relaxation 2024 (as on 1.07.2024)
There is an upper age relaxation provided by the government of India to certain communities like OBC (Non creamy Layer)/SC/ST/ or Female candidates Widowed/Divorced or Group ‘C’, or ‘D’ railway staff, along with other candidates. Those candidates who fall under any of the following categories and seeking age relaxation can take advantage of that. RRB ALP Medical Standard Test 2024
Before opting for the desired post, a candidate needs to ensure that he/she is eligible for the opted post. If by any chance the candidate fails in any of the standard, his/her candidature will be rejected and no alternate appointment shall be given to him/her. Medical standard tests will be carried out with those candidates who qualify the Railways recruitment ALP 2024 examination (First stage and Second Stage). Medical test will happen to check that the candidates are fit to carry out the duties needed for the opted post in Railways Recruitment exam. RRB ALP 2024 Qualifying marks
There will be minimum qualifying marks requirement in the Railways recruitment ALP 2024 exam. There are generally three stages in the examination pattern. For each stage candidates have to acquire minimum qualifying marks. There is certain relaxation given to reserved candidates.
- First Stage (CBT-1) Qualifying Marks
It is a screening exam to select candidates for CBT-2. For stage one, an unreserved candidate has to secure at least 40% of the maximum marks as qualifying marks, reserved candidates on the other hand, have to get 30% of the maximum marks. - Second Stage (CBT-2) Qualifying Marks
For the second stage exam there are two parts and in both of the exams, the qualifying marks are different. Below are the details.
- Second Stage Qualifying Marks (Part A)
For Part A exam, the qualifying marks for all the categories are different. An unreserved category candidates need 40% of the maximum marks whereas an OBC and SC candidates have to get 30% of the maximum marks. Other details are provided below in the table.
