RRB NTPC Syllabus 2024

The duration of the examination for eligible PwBD candidates who use a scribe will be 120 minutes. Sectional distribution as indicated is only indicative and there may be variations in the actual question paper. Negative marking is there, and 1/3 of the mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will be short-listed for the 2nd Stage CBT on the basis of normalized marks obtained in 1st Stage CBT. The total number of candidates to be shortlisted shall be 15 times the community-wise number of vacancies available as per the vacancies notified by the RRBs, based on their merit in 1st Stage CBT.
1st Stage CBT is solely for screening purposes, and the questions will generally be of the standard at the minimum prescribed educational qualification of the posts. The second stage of the RRB NTPC will include the same sections as the first stage but in different weightage. The total time for the second CBT will 90 minutes with 120 questions.
For Graduate level NTPC posts, normalized marks obtained by a candidate in the 2nd stage CBT shall be used for shortlisting the candidates for document verification. For posts having Typing Skill Test or Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT), normalized marks obtained by candidate in 2nd stage CBT shall be used for selecting candidates for such tests.
CBAT shall be conducted only for those candidates who have opted for Station Master and have qualified the 2nd Stage CBT. For candidates to clear the CBAT, the candidate needs to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery for qualifying the CBAT. There shall be no relaxation in this minimum prescribed T-score.
