    SBI Clerk Vacancy

Recently, The State Bank of India (SBI) declared that it will induct candidates for the positions of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) at a number of 13,735 vacancies in states and union territories for 2025. Under the given move, all regular and backlog opportunities in this state will be accommodated through this recruitment, catering to the needs of several categories of candidates. The vacancies are categorized based on various factors including state, language proficiency, and reservation categories such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

Applications will be allowed in only one state or union territory. Those who have applied should mandatorily know the language of that state or union territory, and for such applicants, there will be a language test conducted post-main examination, subject to them qualifying for that round. Vacancies are widely varying geographically, with 1,894 vacancies for the states of Uttar Pradesh followed by 1,163 in Maharashtra. Other states that are represented include those from Kolkata and Bhopal that offer a significant number of jobs, thus showing diversity and the bank's service towards different linguistic and local people.

Apart from the regular vacancies, there are provisions for horizontal reservations for PwBD candidates. Thus, the selection will be merit-based, and candidates will be posted in the state they applied for upon successful completion of the examination process. This recruitment initiative not only aims to bolster the workforce within SBI but also underlines the bank's commitment to providing equal employment opportunities across diverse groups in society.
