    Eligibility Criteria

    SER Exam

    In order to apply for the South Eastern Railway exam, you have to fulfill the South Eastern Railway eligibility required by the South Eastern Railway for Goods Guard Exam 2021.

    You are advised to first check the South Eastern Railway eligibility criteria 2021 thoroughly in order to avoid disqualification from the exam. Please note that RPF/RPSF personnel are not eligible to apply for this exam. Employees serving in the South Eastern Railway and having lower grade pay than a Goods Guards are eligible to apply.

    Educational Criteria

    You must be a Graduate from a recognized Board/ university in order to apply for the post of Goods Guard. Please note those final year graduates awaiting results are not eligible to apply. You must have a graduate degree at the time of applying for the exam. Candidates having higher degrees may also apply. You are required to check the South Eastern Railway educational criteria before applying for the exam.

    Age criteria (As on January 01, 2022)

    South Eastern Railway has invited aspirants to become a part of the organization. You need to be in between the South Eastern Railway age limit 2021 of 18-42 years (General). The upper age is 47 years for SC/ST and 45 years for OBC candidates. You must not be born after January 01, 2004, and before January 02, 1980 (General). The valid proof of age is Matriculation/SSC/SSLC/HSC Certificate or Mark Sheet indicating Date of Birth issued by Board or School leaving/Transfer certificate issued by School/College Authority or Birth Certificate issued by the appropriate authority.     Age relaxation

    The government has given certain relaxation in age to reserved category candidates like SC/ST and OBC. For example, upper age relaxation of 5 years has been given to candidates belonging to SC/ST categories i.e. they can apply till they reach 47 years of age.

    6 Candidates who are serving Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ Railway Staff, Casual Labour and Substitutes and put in minimum of 3 years service (continuous or in broken spells) UR 40 Years of age

    7 Candidates who are working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway organization such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies and Institutes UR 33 Years plus length of service rendered or 5 years, whichever is lower.
    OBC NCL Non Creamy Layer 36 Years plus length of service rendered or 5 years, whichever is lower.
    SC/ST 38 Years plus length of service rendered or 5 years, whichever is lower.
    8 Women candidates, who are widowed, divorced or judicially separated from husband but not remarried. UR 35 Years of age
