The South Eastern Railway Goods Guard notification 2024 was recently released inviting applications for the Goods Guard category. This recruitment will be done against the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) quota.

The interested candidates need to apply online through the link of RRC/SER which will take them to the official website of SER. The online application window will remain open until December 23, 2021. Regular/permanent Railway employees who are working in different Departments/Branches of Headquarters/Divisions/Workshop/Units in grade pay/levels lower than the grade pay/levels of the notified post and all the eligible employees working in same levels of posts for which GDCEs are conducted will be eligible to appear.

Vacancy 

The South Eastern Railway has opened up a good number of vacancies this year for the post of Goods Guard. As per the Railway Board’s Letter, RPF/RPSF personnel are not eligible to apply. A total of 520 SER Goods Guard vacancies have been announced in the 2024 recruitment cycle. To qualify, you need to just focus on one seat and ensure that you prepare in the best way.

How To Apply

The eligible candidates, those who are interested in the SER Goods Guard post, need to apply online through RRC/SER official website. Please note that the candidates can only submit one application. To ensure that you fill your application successfully, you should be aware of the complete online application process. We have broken down the process into few simple steps as follows:

• It is advised to not wait till the last minute to fill the application as there could be a failure to log in to the application portal just before the closing date.
• Applications need to visit the official website of RRC/SERi.e. www.rrcser.co.in and click on the link mentioned for GDCE.
• Candidates will have the option to edit the details of the application form before the final submission. No edits will be allowed after final submission.
• Candidates are expected to enter their valid mobile number and email address for further correspondence. 
• Once you are done with entering all the details, you will be asked to upload your signature, a passport size photograph and all the other required documents to prove your eligibility.
• When done with the complete process, you should submit your application successfully.

Application Fee

For all the candidates applying for the post of SER Goods Guard, there is no application fee to be submitted while filling up the application form. That implies that the application fee is nil for all categories of applicants.

Admit Card

The candidates will not be sent any call letters by post. E-admit cards will be available on the RRC website and the candidates will have to download and print theirs. The E-admit cards will be available two weeks before the Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates will have to bring their admit cards on the day of the examination which will be signed by the Controlling Officer/Supervisor.
