SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

SSC CPO Age Criteria

If you do qualify on the SSC CPO online exam , you will be called for the Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test. The PST/PET will be qualifying in nature which means there are no marks allotted for both tests. 

Physical standard Test for all posts 

The SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria includes a mandatory Physical Standard Test (PST) for all candidates applying for various posts under the SSC CPO recruitment. These physical standards differ for male and female candidates, ensuring they meet the physical fitness requirements of the job. In addition to the Physical Standard Test (PST), candidates must undergo a Physical Endurance Test (PET) as part of the SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria. The PET includes tests such as a race, long jump, and high jump, where candidates are given three attempts to qualify. However, it's important to note that ex-servicemen are exempt from the PET as per the SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria. These tests are designed to assess the physical fitness and endurance required for roles under the SSC CPO recruitment.

Medical Standard (For all posts) 

As part of the SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria, all candidates who qualify through earlier stages must undergo a comprehensive medical examination. This examination is conducted by a medical officer from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) or a Grade 1 medical officer from a Central or State government hospital. The SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria ensure that candidates meet the necessary medical fitness standards required for their roles in the SSC CPO. 

Eyesight: There are specific vision standards that candidates must meet as part of the SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria for the CPO post. 

For near vision: The minimum requirement is N6 for the better eye, and the maximum is N9 for the worst eye. Candidates must meet these standards to ensure adequate visual sharpness for the job. 

For distant vision: The minimum standard is 6/6 for the best eye, and the maximum allowed is 6/9 for the worst eye. These criteria ensure candidates have sufficient distant vision for operational duties.
