Its fixation in the soil can be reduced either by band application which ensures its lesser contact with soil particles or application of organic manures which form phospho-humic complexes which are easily assimilated by plants and formation of a coating of sesquioxide particles along with this Integrated use of phosphatic fertilizers and organic manures increase P use efficiency by reducing P-fixation in soils
