    1- ‘surged’ should be used instead of ‘surges’. 2- ‘quickly’ is correct, not ‘quick’. 3- ‘their’ is wrong. Instead, ‘its’ should be used. As the cases surged , the State quickly updated its triage and treatment protocol to guide its response to the new variant.
