    Solution

    When the subject of the sentence is composed of two or more nouns or pronouns connected by and, use a plural verb. So here, ‘were’ is correct, not ‘was’. And all the guavas, the peaches, the betel nuts and the blackberries in their garden were planted by the three of them, with each other's help.
