    Housing  Finance companies (HFCs) are regulated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The regulation of HFCs was transferred to RBI in August 2019. In June 2020, RBI has come out with the Regulatory framework for HFCs. Initially HFC were regulated by National Housing Bank (NHB).
