    Iran has formally become a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while chairing the SCO summit on Tuesday, has conveyed his best wishes to Iran. So far, the SCO comprises eight member states - China, Russia, India, Pakistan and the four Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was formed in 2001 with six member countries. India became a member in 2017.
