Razorpay has entered into a partnership with UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) to process payments for online Aadhaar services. The UIDAI allows Aadhaar holders to update their Aadhaar data — like names, and addresses — online and charges a fee of Rs.50 for these services. It is these transactions that Razorpay will support with its payment gateway. It is estimated that Razorpay will eventually support over 70% of the total daily transactions on the UIDAI portal.
