Yojana implemented by the Uttar Pradesh government?Solution
The Uttar Pradesh government plans to implement the Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana across the State to protect crops from stray animals. Initially, the scheme was to be implemented in the Bundelkhand region, but now the government aims to implement it statewide before the Lok Sabha election. The scheme will provide a grant of ₹1.43 lakh per hectare to small and marginal farmers to set up a solar fence with a current flow of 12 volts to protect their crops The budget for the scheme is proposed to be increased from ₹75 crore to ₹350 crore. The solar fence will give a mild shock to animals without causing harm, keeping them away from the crops, and preventing damage to standing crops in the fields.
