    According to reports, the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), India's leading agency for military research and development, will temporarily halt missile testing activities at Wheeler Island off the Odisha coast during the mass nesting season of Olive Ridley Sea turtles.    Formerly known as Wheeler Island, Abdul Kalam Island is located off the coast of Odisha.  The renaming of the island honors the late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and serves as an inspiration for the youth to foster a scientific temperament.
