Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced the upcoming launch of an ePlatform named 'Trade Connect' for Indian exporters to engage with international trade stakeholders by May, aiming to support the $2 trillion export target by 2030.The announcement was made during the second meeting of the reconstituted Board of Trade (BOT), where Goyal revealed the initiation of work on the Trade Connect ePlatform. The BOT, advising the government on trade-related policy measures, discussed leveraging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), encouraging startups and MSMEs to expand globally, boosting exports in the services sector, and internationalizing goods and services for improved quality and economies of scale.
