This award was presented by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the 96th Foundation Day celebrations of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in New Delhi. The award-winning technology, titled ‘Process for instant soluble turmeric enriched spice flavoured milk powder,’ was recognized as one of the top five technologies under the Horticulture Sciences Division of ICAR. The technology has been commercialized in collaboration with the Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited, leading to the production and marketing of two products, Golden Milk and Golden Milk Mix. This recognition underscores IISR's significant contributions to horticultural sciences and its role in promoting innovative agricultural technologies.
