Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited ( TPREL ) and NHPC Renewable Energy Limited ( NHPC - REL ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU ) to install rooftop solar projects on government buildings across India under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana . The initiative aims to achieve 100 % solarisation of government - owned buildings by December 2025 .
