8th Schedule - The list of officially recognized languages. • Presently the Indian constitution has 22 recognized languages. • Earlier there were 14 recognized languages. • The recent amendments are the 21st amendment included the Sindhi language, the 71st amendment included Konkani, Manipuri, and Nepali languages and the 92nd amendment included Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, and Santhali language in this 8th schedule. • The languages according to the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telegu, Urdu. Thus, it is concluded that Bhojpuri language is not included in 8th scheduled of Indian constitution.
