    Let the original length and breadth of the rectangle be 8x cm and 5x cm, respectively According to the question, 2 × {(1.2 × 8x) + (0.5 × 5x)} = 363 Or, 9.6x + 2.5x = 363 Or, x = 363/12.1 = 15 Therefore, original area of the rectangle = 8x × 5x = 40x2 = 9000 cm2
