    National Health Mission The National Health Mission (NHM) encompasses two sub-missions- Submissions ·         National Rural Health Mission (NRHM): It was launched in 2015 to provide accessible, affordable and quality healthcare to rural populations, especially vulnerable groups. ·         National Urban Health Mission (NUHM): Approved in 2013, it envisages strengthening the primary healthcare delivery system in urban areas for providing quality primary healthcare delivery system in urban areas. Main Components: Health System Strengthening, Reproductive-Maternal-Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), and Control of Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases. ·         The NHM envisages the achievement of universal access to equitable, affordable and quality health care services that are accountable and responsive to people’s needs.
