It was the first major Indian women’s organization founded by a lady, its objectives included promotion of education for ladies, abolition of the purdah system, and improvement within the socio-economic and political status of girls all over India. ● Statement 2 is incorrect: Ramabai Ranade founded the Ladies Social Conference (Bharat Mahila Parishad), under the parent organization National Social Conference, in 1904 in Bombay.
