    Another historical site of India has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Shantiniketan (West Bengal) has been declared a World Heritage Site. It was established in 1901. In 1921, a 'World University' was established in Santiniketan, which was later recognized as 'Visva Bharati'. With this the number of World Heritage Sites in India has increased to 41.
