B 2 only Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 1 and 3 only Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 1, 2 and 3 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    • Simple Majority refers to a majority of the members of each House present and voting. Abolition or creation of legislative councils in states and widening the jurisdiction on the Supreme Court can be done by a simple majority. • Absolute Majority refers to more than half of the total number of members of the house, whether they are present or not. As per Article 67(b), resolution for removal of Vice-President in Rajya Sabha must be passed by an absolute majority in RS and agreed to by Lok Sabha. • Special Majority refers to the majority of the total membership of the House and a majority of two-thirds of the members of the House present and voting. Some of the provisions that can be amended in this way are Election of the President and its manner, extent of the executive power of the Union and the states, representation of states in Parliament etc. Hence none of the pairs is correctly matched.
