The Constitution of India is described as quasifederal. It establishes a federal system of government. Some of the features of a federal system of government are as follows – Rigidity of Constitution,Independent judiciary ,Bicameralism, A written Constitution and Supremacy of Constitution. However, the Indian Constitution also contains a large number of unitary or nonfederal features, like - integrated judiciary, appointment of state governor by the Centre, allIndia services, single citizenship, flexibility of Constitution, a strong Centre, single Constitution, emergency provisions, etc. ● Option 1 is correct- Integrated Judiciary- It is a Unitary feature of the Constitution where supreme court is at the top below which there is a high court in state.This single system of courts enforces both central and state laws. ● Option 2 is correct- Single Citizenship means a person is a citizen of India only and not of the respective states.it is one of the Unitary Features. ● Option 3 is incorrect-Supremacy of Constitution-Constitution is the supreme law of the land; and all state organs including parliament, judiciary, states etc. are bound by it. They must act within the limits set by the Constitution. This is a feature of the Federal system of Government. ● Option 4 is incorrect- Bicameralism-is the practice of having a legislature divided into two separate assemblies, chambers, or houses. In India it is divided in Lok sabha and Rajya Sabha.It is one of the features of the Federal system of Government.
