A new species of jumping spider named 'Hasarius Mumbai' was recently discovered from the rocks close to the streams at the Bombay Natural History Society's (BNHS) conservation education centre in Goregaon East. Jumping spiders are group of spiders that constitute the family Salticidae, which is the largest family of spiders. Generally recognized by their eye pattern. Mostly have four pairs of eyes which can go upto eight. Front four legs generally are larger than the back four.
