    As per the rules of the Indian Constitution, if a Member of Parliament (MP) is absent from Parliament for more than 60 days without permission, their seat can be declared vacant by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha (lower house of Parliament) or the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha (upper house of Parliament), as applicable.
