    The Galwan Valley is a valley in Ladakh, east of the Karakoram Range. It is situated in the north-western part of Ladakh, between Ladakh in the west and Aksai Chin in the east.  Ladakh Plateau lies to the north-east of the Karakoram Range. Karakoram Range does form India's frontiers with Pakistan but not with China.
