    Saharia Tribe: This tribe is most commonly found in Shahbad and Kishanganj panchayats of the Bara district. 99.47 per cent of the Sanharia tribe of the state lives in the Baran district. The Sanharia tribe is derived from the Prussian word seher. It is the only tribe in the state, which has been given the status of primitive tribe by the Government of India due to being the most backward tribe. Sitabari of Baran district is the main place of this tribe. Sitabari Fair is called the Kumbh of this tribe.
