Madras High Court in T. Siva Kumar vs Inspector of Town Police Station has taken a completely different outlook. It was held that even though a marriage contracted by a person with a female of fewer than 18 years is voidable and subsists until it is annulled by the Court, the marriage though not invalid but is also not a valid marriage in strict sense and the male does not have all the rights which would otherwise emanate from a marriage which is valid in a strict sense.
