In Dinesh Trivedi, M.P.and others Vs Union of India , The Supreme Court dealt with the right to Freedom of Observation, “in modern constitutional democracies, it is axiomatic that the citizens have right to know the affairs of the Govt. which, having been elected by hem, seek to formulate sound policies of the Governance aimed that their welfare”. The court further observed, “Democracy expects openness with concomitant of a free society and the sunlight is the best disinfectant.”
