    The present age of A is 7/5 times to that of his marriage age. Present age of his brother is 1/2nd of his present age. If A was married 20 years ago then find the present age of his brother.

    Solution

    Let the age of A when he was married be x years. Present age of A = 7x/5 Present age of his brother = (1/2)×(7x/5) = 7x/10 According to Question, => x + 20 = 7/5x => 2/5x = 20 => x = 50 years Present age of his brother = (7/10) ×50 = 35 years
