    Let the present ages of Goutam and Tia be 16x and 15x respectively. Given, (16x - 12)/(15x - 12) = 4/3 ⇒ 48x - 36 = 60x - 48 ⇒ 12x = 12 ⇒ x = 1 ∴ Tia's present age = 15 ⇒ Sahil's present age = 15 + 11 = 26 years
